Joseph Lynch

Died: December 17, 2018

Lynch, Joseph Bernard Age 57, of Sterling, AK (originally Richfield, MN), died on 12/17/18. He was a generous, loyal and loving husband, son, brother and friend. Joe adored living amongst the wild beauty of Alaska where he enjoyed fishing, spending time with friends and working on his home. He frequently returned to Minnesota for visits with his family, as well as kept in touch via phone, email and text messaging. Joe was a talented chef whose culinary creations graced the tables of Minnesota restaurants and some of the finest seafood establishments in Alaska. He also worked for various oil companies as a catering manager. He finally settled in Sterling, AK and in 2003 married his beloved wife Cindy after several years of close friendship. Joe is preceded in death by his dear wife Cindy, his dad Don and big sister Mary Lynch (Veldey). Joe is survived by his mother Eileen, brothers Mike, Tom, Jim and Bill, sisters Margaret & Katie, as well as sixteen nieces and nephews one of whom (Chad) had a very special place in his heart! He is also survived by his good friend Nita Woodle of Sterling, AK as well as other good friends in the town he loved. Joe will be greatly missed, though we are comforted to know he is with Cindy and that we will see them both again one day. The family will hold a private memorial at a later date. Memorials in Joe's name can be sent to Friends of Alaska National Wildlife Refuges: alaskarefugefriends.org/donate/#.
