Mike's obituary has a Diabetes Association listed as memorial, so perhaps this had something to do with his death. Not sure. He really was something!

He was an emergency room physician at the VA Medical Center and Medical Director of First Priority Medical Choice.  Mike was a member of the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Reserves and Captain of Berkeley County Horse Mounted Reserves.
