James D. Hunt
     Born July 25, 1961, passed away April 5, 2022 caused by complications from a long term fight with Diabetes.
   He was loved by his father David and Stepmother Ellen Hunt, and mother and stepfather Lucy and Bill Crane and his siblings. 
  He attended Wintersville Elementary and Jefferson Union High School, Class of 1980, where he transferred to JVS and entered the Electronic program. 
   After High School he joined the Air Force planning to make it his career.  He served 13 years. After returning from Saudi Arabia and Arabia, he was diagnosed with Diabetes.
   He eventually had to retired due to his illness and continued his work at home with Military Contractors.  He helped to design and teach the use of far range explosives.
  He continued his education after the Air Force and received two degrees from Central Carolina Community College.
   Jim lived his life his way.  After he retired he remained in North Carolina, he didn’t like Winters in Ohio.  He never married but help to raise  his friends son Andrew, that he loved dearly, helping with his education and many other ways.  Andrew loved his Uncle Jim.
   Jim had an old soul.  He was respectful, kind and loving.  He always trusted everyone had the same values.
 He always had a smile on his face.  He collected comic books, loved Star Wars and Jane Seymour.  As he got older he sported a ponytail, probably to make up for the lack of hair on top.
   He is loved and missed by his father and stepmother Dave and Ellen Hunt, siblings, Richard, Heidi, and Bob. Step brother and sister Randy and Sharon.
   A Memorial Service will be held at Fort Steuben Burial June 23, 2023 at 11 A.M.  Services by Reverend Lee Hunt,  his cousin.
