SITTERSON, Bonnie Gail Booker, 63, passed away from pancreatic cancer on April 8, 2014 in the comfort of her home, with her loving husband of 36 years by her side. She is now at rest with the Lord. She is survived by her husband, Donald; her mother, Maxine Booker; her sister, Patti Haskins (Willy) and their children, Anna, Kara and Charlie; her sons, Jason (Katie), Brad (Christina) and Christopher (Carrie); her grandchildren, Hayden and Noah; her uncle, Johnny (Patricia) Parker; and her dog, Lacy. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Booker; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Growing up she loved spending time in Sandy Hook with her extended family. She graduated from John Marshall High School. She then earned a nursing degree from Virginia Baptist Hospital in 1971 and obtained her Bachelor's of Nursing from MCV in 1977. She worked in a multitude of nursing fields. Bonnie loved being a mother and grandmother and spending time with her family. She loved the beach, spending time at the pool, reading and puzzles. Visitation will be held at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home on Friday, April 11, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Shady Grove Methodist Church on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the PKD Foundation: P.O.
