GLENN, Susan Prestipino, 60, of Charles City, devoted wife, nurse, caterer, musician and friend to many went to heaven on Sunday, May 22, 2011. The daughter of the late Louis Prestipino, she is survived by her husband of 33 years, Skeeter; stepson, Bryant (Rebecca) Glenn; step-grandchildren, Kayla, Chad; mother-in-law, Audrey Glenn; mother, Beulah Prestipino; sisters, Janet (David) Snellings, Becky (Sean) Dalton; brothers, Keith (Tina) Prestipino, Rece (Cathy) Prestipino and several nieces and nephews. Susan ran a successful catering business, Culinary Capers, for many years and provided loving medical care to many patients while nursing in Highland Springs for over thirty years. Battling her illness she lived her motto to the end - I have cancer, cancer does not have me. Special thanks to Rebecca Dixon, caregiver and Anna Pitts and her staff at Covenant Columns Manor. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650, S. Laburnum Avenue where services will be held at 1 pm, Thursday, May 26. Interment will be private. Contributions may be made in her name to your favorite charity
