Walter and I were in the same class even back in the 50's at Ginter Park. He seemed a bit shy, but once you started talking with him, he always had something very witty to say. Making me laugh came so naturally to him - I really liked him and enjoyed his company.

Walter Rock was a very nice young man and I so enjoyed seeing him every Sunday morning at Ginter Park Baptist Church, from the time I was but a little kid.  He just LOVED to pontificate on POLITICS and current events, even at Church.  Not surprised he went into Accounting.  He was a very smart and witty young man!  SO very sorry that he left this world so early.  Remember his parents quite well.  Walter Rock, Tommy Judd and Thurman Yarborough were ALWAYS at Church, every Sunday morning!  Miss all of you great guys!!  :)

Walter Rock and I were high school friends, but became best friends after college.  He had a rough exterior, but his heart was huge.  He was the most giving, selfless, witty, and intelligent guy I've ever known.  I still miss him every day.  Even in death he thought of others, donating his body to VCU/MCV for research.
