Dr. Timok was a very talented and outstanding wrestling coach that John Marshall was quite fortunate to have.   He coached my youngest brother, Tom, in wrestling at JMHS and helped him to believe in himself.  That was a challenge since Tom had two older, very  strong-willed brothers.  Tom Cruickshanks had a heart of GOLD. Dr. Timok mentored him and gave Tom so much confidence in himself.  I will always be indebted to Dr. Timok for what he did for my little brother, Tom.  Sadly, Tom drowned on Sunday, December 11, 1994, in a lake in Bon Air, VA., trying to save his 16-1/2 yr. old, invalid Golden Retriever from drowning.  Both drowned and both now rest in Hollywood Cemetery, beside our former JMHS Study Hall Teacher, Emma Bee Cruickshanks.  I hope that Tom and Dr. Timok are now reunited in Heaven and are catching up on the good old days back in Ginter Park and JMHS.  Thank you Dr. Timok for all that you did for my little brother, Tom Cruickshanks, JMHS, Class of 1974.  God will reward you for all of your good deeds.  Rest in peace.

Patricia L. Cruickshanks, JMHS Class of 1970

I was fortunate to have attended Dr. Timok's funeral on January 5, 2015, and had the opportunity to give a Eulogy for Dr. Timok, at the Service, for all that he did for my youngest brother, Tom.  It was wonderful to see his wife again, and visit, over lunch, as it has been a long time since the good old days at JMHS.
