After graduating from UVA in 1984, I attended medical school at MCV, finishing in 1988. I finished ophthalmology residency at Washington Hospital Center in D.C. in 1992, and have been in private practice in Richmond since then.
In 1998, I joined Richmond Eye Associates as a partner, and I have been with them since that time. Now I am at the Mechanicsville office full time. I focus on cataract / implant surgery, glaucoma, and diabetic eye care, as well as general ophthalmology.
I married Kim in 1987, and Savannah was born in 1995. We enjoy trips to the Outer Banks, Disney World, and other nearby places.
In addition to practicing ophthalmolgy, I also maintain the Richmond Eye Associates website at www.richmondeye.com. However, I spend more time developing and maintaining our church website, www.coolspring.org. Cool Spring Church is heavily involved in the Upward sports ministry for children, and I have taken innumerable game day photos and posted them on the website for the enjoyment of the participants. I have also written a number of devotionals that are on that site, if you care to read any.
