LYNCH, Lori Helen, of Richmond, born December 18, 1962 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, went to her permanent home with Jesus on December 20, 2017. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jack and Mary Wilson Sr., Jack P. Lynch Sr. and Helen T. Lynch. She is survived by her loving parents, Jack and Nancy Lynch; her sisters, Kristen Lynch Raper (Jim) and Jill Lynch McLain; and three beautiful nieces, Emily Margaret Raper, Amanda Leigh (McLain) Mercer (Benjamin) and Jacyln Pope Raper, all of Richmond, whom she dearly loved. She is also survived by her uncle, Jack A. Wilson (Sally) of Allentown, Pennsylvania and their children, Lindsay Hancock (Everett) of Greensboro, North Carolina and Eva Hobbs (Hadrian) of Chicago, Illinois. Lori was a graduate of Manchester High School. She earned multiple degrees, the most recent, a Master of Science in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University. Lori worked at VCU and VCU Health for over 30 years and most recently was employed as a Systems Integration Manager at VCU Health System. Lori was a kind, gentle and compassionate lady who loved her family, friends, colleagues and maybe, most of all, her beloved dogs, Sammi and Jetson. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you for many prayers extended during this difficult time and express their gratitude to the Neuroscience ICU at Johnston Willis Hospital and LifeNet teams for the compassionate care that Lori received during her last few days. The family will never be the same. Lori will live on in our hearts and we will forever remember the joy that she brought to all our lives. A worship service for the Celebration of Life of Lori Helen Lynch was held on Saturday, December 30, 2017, 11 a.m. at the Bon Air Baptist Church, 2531 Buford Road, Richmond, Virginia 23235. Visitation followed at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Richmond SPCA, 2519 Hermitage Road, Richmond, Virginia 23220.
