Robert F. Arthur, 73, of Henrico, VA, passed away on November 10, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil D. and Thelma S. Arthur. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda J. Arthur; two daughters, Tonda L. Arthur and Barrett A. Maddox (James); grandson, Brighton Maddox; brother, J. Davis Arthur; aunt, Joyce Arthur; and many cousins as well as his work family. Robert was a Virginia State Go-Cart Champion in his youth, maintaining his love of racing into adulthood. On top of this, Robert was an avid bowler for 25 years. He was graduated from Fork Union Military Academy and continued his studies at Ferrum College.

In 1969, Robert joined the family business, Arthur's Electric Service, where he moved up the ranks and was named president in 1984.  Arthur’s Electric was awarded and named a Henrico Legacy Company for over 50 years of service in Henrico County.  Robert was also recently considered and nominated by Retail Merchants for the Distinguished Retailer of the Year Award. He was a member of Bethlehem Methodist Church, and he was a strong believer in helping others either at work or during his 20-plus years of volunteering with the Glen Allen Ruritan.

Robert found great peace in watching and photographing sunsets along the shore of South Hill Banks. He also enjoyed good times with his friends and family, whether it was golfing, traveling, dancing, jet skiing, or other adventures.

The family will receive friends at Bliley's – Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Road, on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 11 a.m. where a service will follow at 12 p.m. and continue into a reception.
