Ronnie passed away in Hanover, VA, on October 11, 2014, after a lengthy illness.  He was survived by his son Ronald "Chip" Jones, Jr., and his wife Holly, by beautiful granddaughter Emma Leigh, by brother Butch Jones and his wife Judy, and by nephew and niece Tabb and Amie. Ronnie was an avid late model hot rod enthusiast, a dedicated father, and a beloved grandfather.  Ronnie is buried at Westhampton Memorial Park.
