Donna Martin (Fabritz)

Donna's daughter notified John Martin of Donna's passing yesterday, 7/25/21.  Donna had been struggling with scoliosis in recent months and had moved to Sonora to be closer to her daughter.   Donna will be missed, and it is with great sadness that we report her passing.  We don't have any information about services at this time.

I received this note from Donna's sister, Judy Martin Caitlin, today (7/26/21).  She said it was okay to share this with everyone.  We knew about the scoliosis, but did not know about her other health issues.

"I'm sorry to bring sad news, but around one this morning we lost Donna.  She/we had no idea she was even sick!  Just over a week ago she woke up bad enough to go to the ER.  She was admitted and had 4.8 liters of fluid removed from her abdomen.  They did it twice again in as many days then sent her home.  The next day she had to be taken in again and two days later, Thursday the 22nd, they sent her home on Hospice - advanced liver failure.  We drove up Friday so I did get to talk to her."

I have known and been friends with Donna since first grade and even though we were not related we still, over 60 years called each other CUZ. I'll never forget back in the late 80's when we both were in our 40's and Donna was living back in Ridgecrest. We were dating for a while and I took her to a Richcrest Chamber of Comerance formal dinner dance. I was in a Tuxedo and Donna was dressed in a beauiful black formal dress along with her beauiful blonde hair, I swear she was the talk of the Ball..Just so Elegant and we just had a great time. We have always stayed in touch several times a year and still called each other Cuz. My prayers go out to her beauiful daughter, Cheryl and the rest of Donna's family...RIP my CUZ..
