Vickie Walker Yates

Well, I've been in Jonesboro since 1990. After being through a couple of divorces (lol...Melissa, I've got u beat), in 2005, I finally did what I said I would NEVER do again and got remarried. God was saving the best for last for me. We have no children together, but he loves mine as his own. He even dominates the grandbabies when they are at the house. I have been working at the Jackson Parish Library since 1997, where I started out working as a Library Assistant, was promoted to Bookmobile Driver/Clerk in 2007 and promoted to Bookmobile Librarian in September, 2008. Not much in the way of socializing as I stay too busy. I work, come home and work some more and go to church. That's about it. Billie had moved to Tennessee but is now back in Jonesboro with her kids. Alisha is in Missouri and will be getting married in December. Still have 2 at home.

OMG! 20 years!! We're getting old!!

My fondest memories are of the band. They were my "other" family. I remember Mr. Young fondly. I tell my kids stories of band trips all the time. They can just about tell them to me now. I miss those times.

Also remember a specific time in Coach Kidd's class when a certain someone got sick all over. LOL. What a thing to remember!

So glad for this site. Have been wondering lately about everyone.
