Jeremy Kim Barriault: 1971-2012.

Jeremy was born in South Korea. He was given the name Kim Dong Won and a birth date of May 4, 1971. He arrived "home" in the U.S. on Dec. 28, 1975. He grew up in River Falls, Wis., and graduated from River Falls High School in 1990. He enlisted in the Army in 1993. He spent most of his time at Ft. Campbell, Ky., becoming a Pathfinder. He was honorably discharged in 1997. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn., and moved to Denver, Colo. He married Kim Phuong Thi Pham on March 27, 2007.

Jeremy was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer in April of 2012.

He is survived by his wife, Kim, and three stepchildren, Trinh (David) Nguyen and Tommy of Denver, Linh of Portland, Ore., and two step-grandchildren, Avery and Christopher Nguyen; his parents, Gerald and Erlene Barriault of Hudson, Wis.; one brother, Darren (Sherry) of Grand Forks, N.D.; two sisters, Shelly (Mark) Sorenson of Hudson and Stacie (Tom) Muggli of North Branch, Minn.; his maternal grandmother, Kathleen Dahlman of Hudson; three nephews, Justin Barriault, Ryan Sorenson, Jasper Muggli; two nieces, Nikole Barriault and Coralee Muggli; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Delore and Marion Barriault, and maternal grandfather, Robert Dahlman.

Jeremy died Saturday, Dec. 8, at Exempla St. Joseph Hospital in Denver.

Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 14, at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Aurora, Colo. Jeremy will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver on Monday, Dec. 17.
