Lora J. Hanten, age 37, of River Falls, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at the Comforts of Home, River Falls.

She was born on May 20, 1972, in Rochester, Minn., the daughter of John "Jack" and Carol (Swanson) Hanten.

Lora grew up in River Falls, was a graduate of River Falls High School, and attended Mankato State University. She was currently working at WEVR AM/FM radio stations.

Lora is survived by her daughter, Stacia Ann Hanten, mother, Carol Hanten, and sister, Carrie (Jim) Larson, all of River Falls; brothers, John (Christine) Hanten, Wisconsin Rapids, Paul Hanten, River Falls, Michael Hanten, Appleton, Wis.; maternal grandmother, Bernice Swanson, Lake Norden, S.D. Lora is further survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

Funeral services for Lora were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at First Covenant Church, River Falls. Rev. Todd Ertsgaard officiated. Friends were invited to call from 5-7 p.m. on Monday at the Cashman-Hill Funeral Home, River Falls, and at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers were Lora's brothers, John, Paul and Michael, brother in-law Jim Larson, friend Jeff Lueck, and her cousin, Bob Hanten.
