Susan Childers Willis

After high school, I attended Hollins University for 2 years and then Jim and I married. We lived in Allentown, PA for a while and then moved to Dublin, VA. I continued at Radford and managed to convince them to let me have a Master's Degree in 1987 (I know I was a little behind the rest of you in the education department but I had to give birth twice while I was in school!). From there, I started working for the Commonwealth - first DMV, then Taxation, then Medicaid and now I am at the Dept. of Juvenile Justice. If anyone has a son or daughter interested in being a Correctional Officer or a Probation Officer, give me a call!

I remember being highly irritated when a new principal came in - I can't even remember his name - in our senior year. He upset the status quo of seniorhood and I missed out on things like the senior lounge (something I had waited for years to enjoy!), those long lockers (I ended up in another short one) and being able to park close in. Remember modular scheduling and how they went back to the standard schedule in our senior year??? The good memories involve my friends - Chris and Carol Jennings, Karen Farrell and Pam Kelly.
