Comments:

I have enjoyed reading messages and profiles and looking at photographs from those of you who have posted them. We did truly have a great class and I hope everyone continues to share their memories. It is amazing that it has been 30 years.

I currently live in Richmond with my husband Mike and daughter Casey. "Nana" (my mom) lives close by. We live in Bon Air and Casey is about to finish up her sophomore year at James River High School. I have enjoyed a career in early childhood education since graduating from college and work for our local school system as the Head Start director.
Being full time working parents keeps us busy, but for the most part, very happy (as many of you know, living with a teenager can be very interesting at times). We are active in various parent organizations at Casey's school, and I have enjoyed being "color guard" mom this year.
I look forward to seeing everyone in the fall and I will continue to check out the message board and hopefully catch up with a few people to see how they are doing. All of your comments are bringing back great memories and making me smile.

School Story:

I loved high school for many reasons. Unfortunately, one of those reasons is not because I was a straight A student(smile). A majority of my best memories are from band. I loved being part of both the marching and symphonic bands. Of course, Friday night football games were the best. I didn't even mind meeting on Saturday mornings to clean up the stadium (which was someone's idea of a great fundraiser for the band at the time). Competitions and concerts were fun especially when we received high scores, but also because we worked together to do our very best each time (even if the judges didn't think so).
I also enjoyed playing for special events like graduation, except for the year we graduated and I don't think I played very much because I was crying so hard.
Although I have lost touch with many of my high school friends, those wonderful relationships helped me become the person I am now (I swear that's a good thing - I think I turned out ok).
