Archie Dale Orange, 65, of Troutville passed away at University of Virginia Hospital on June 13, 2021.

A native of Virginia, he was the husband of 44 years to Betty Orange, who survives, and the son of Archie Nathan Orange and Catherine Marie Thomas Orange, both deceased. Dale worked as a diesel mechanic. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Hendrick Racing, especially Jeff Gordan. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and camping. Above all else what was most important to Dale was his family.

In addition to his wife he is survived by three sons, Billy Orange and wife Noga, Charlie Orange, and Matt Orange and wife Nikki; seven grandchildren, Chloie, Idan, Ethan, Jake, Eli, Kelsea, and Logan; his sister, Peggy Furrow; his brother, Steve Orange; and nieces and nephews, Jack, Kevin, Lori, and Chris.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jordan Orange; sister, Frances Synan; and step mother, Ruby Orange.

The family will receive friends at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem, 1330 East Main Street, on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm.
