Martha Christian Hoback Crutchfield, 47, of Daleville, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Harold N. Hoback and Betty Thompson Hoback. Christi was a graduate of Northside High School and Virginia Tech. She is survived by her daughter, Laura; her brother, David Hoback, and wife, Marie; her nieces, Samantha and Macie Hoback; her ex-husband, Charlie Crutchfield; her uncle, Dr. Steve Thompson; her aunts, Dene Young, Augusta Thompson, Nora Rucker, and Carole Thompson; many cousins; special friends, Rob and Beth Crittenden, and friends at Roanoke Valley Wine Company. Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, May 27, 2007, at Oakey's East Chapel. The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, May 28, 2007, at Vinton Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Christi's memory to the American Diabetes Association.
