Robert James Roope, 41, of Klondike Rd., Walkertown, NC, died Tuesday, August 9, 1994 at NC Baptist Hospital. He was born March 16, 1953 in Anne Arundell County, Md. to Eugene Billy and Fannie Mae Wilkes Roope. Mr. Roope was a member of Eden Masonic Temple Leasksville Lodge #136 AF&AM. He was a maintenance mechanic at Miller Brewing Company in Eden. He was also a private pilot. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Linda Kay Wilson Roope of the home; two daughters, Nicole Heather Roope and Leslie Ann Roope; on son, Jason Robert Roope, all of the home; his mother Mrs. Fannie Mae Wilkes Roope of Roanoke; one sister, Jeanie Ann Roope of Roanoke; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel by the Rev. Joe B. Parker. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Walkertown with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends f rom 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
