At the time of the accident, Keith Ede was on the side of a roadside outside of Rochester helping to pull a vehicle out of the snow on the side of the roadway when the collision occurred and Ede was struck by another vehicle. Ede suffered significant head and body trauma and died of his injuries several weeks later. Keith died Jan. 10, 2001 at age 29.
