Very sad to learn that Bob had died.  Does anyone know when / circumstances of his passing.  He was a very kind, generous person.

Don't hold me to this, but I believe it was around 15 years ago. He was working at Pepperdine University in California.  I was at a conference out there and asked a colleague if he knew Bob. I seem to recall that he had recently passed from a brain tumor (?).

Bob was inducted into Rochester High School's Athletic Hall of Fame about 10-15 years ago. His wife and I believe their daughter came to the ceremony to accept the award.

So sorry to hear Bob has passed.  He was a quiet guy in high school whom I remember as being an intellectual and individual of few words.  I enjoyed knowing him.

Bob was inducted into the Rochester High School Hall of Fame as a Charter Member in 2006. This is a photo of the placque that hangs on the wall in the Athletic Wing of the school. As of 2006 he still held the 200 meter record for the school and became the first RHS athlete to break the 10 second barrier in the 100 meter event. I hope you're able to read some of his other accomplishments.
