50th Reunion
June 1963 to June 2013
It is hard to believe that 50 years has passed since we last walked the halls of Rock Hill High School! It would be so nice if we could enter those halls again but in the 70's, the city leaders had no interest in preserving historical landmarks. Progress was considered using a bull dozer on steroids. As a result, we lost Old Rock Hill High along with so many other special places we can only see now in a few pictures and our minds. All that escaped the bull dozer at our RHHS are a few steps and part of a wall. However, thanks to The Class of 1961, there is a historical marker in place to remind us and future generations of those special days at RHHS!
The physical building is gone but the memories we have of our days at Rock Hill High School will remain forever! Now as we celebrate our 50th Reunion with each other, we especially want to remember those who have gone on before us. We miss them all and many left us way to young. Their memory will live in the hearts of us who remain forever.
Our city, our state, our country and our world has changed a lot in the last 50 years but one thing that will never change is
"Once a Bearcat, Always a Bearcat"
