David Preston Bostic  6/12/1953 - 5/11/2021

Rock Hill – Mr. David Preston Bostic, 67, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Piedmont Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Woodland United Methodist Church, with Rev. Michael Leonhardt officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00PM - 3:00PM at the church.

Born in Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Bostic was the son of the late George Jackson Bostic and the late Betty Mae Morrow Bostic.  He was retired from Norfolk Southern with over 30 years of service.  David was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family and with his fur babies, Jill, Chloe, and Gracie.  He was a strong, loving and fun brother.  David made many friends in his life and he cherished each one of those relationships.

David was an avid Gamecock fan, attending all home ballgames for over 35 years.  He also coached all sorts of sports for children, even transporting those who didn’t have rides.  He enjoyed gardening and working in the yard and making/repairing things in his shop.  He attended Woodland United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Debra Anne Bailey Bostic; his son, Brett (Katie) Bostic of Columbia, SC; three grandchildren, Bailey Virginia Bostic, Brett Walker Bostic and Guy Lennox Bostic; two sisters, Carol Lynn (Larry) Yandle and Tina Renee McClain, both of Rock Hill, SC; two brothers, Franklin “Bud” Dale (Susie) Bostic of Bostic, NC and Anthony “Tony” Ray Bostic of Rock Hill, SC.
