Tommy Hazel Elkins

Mr. Tommy Hazel Elkins, 58, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012 at his residence.

A native of Rock Hill Tommy was the son of Melvin and Barbara Elkins. Born August 29, 1953 he worked for Comporium Communications for many years as a cable splicer, and was of the Baptist faith. Tommy loved his family especially his children and grandchildren. He was a hard worker, a wonderful and loving son, friend, dad and husband. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a grandson Chase Alexander Elkins. Surviving are his wife of 33 years Connie Pittman Elkins; two daughters Tiffany Elkins Vance of Rock Hill, and Amber Renee Drawdy and her husband Allen also of Rock Hill; his mother Barbara Elaine West Elkins of Rock Hill; two grandchildren Jaidan Vance and Bryson Drawdy; his dog Pooh; and many other loving family and friends.

A graveside service to celebrate Tommy’s life will be held Wednesday at 2:00pm at Grandview Memorial Park S. – Cherry Road with Pastor Dan Tweed officiating. The family will receive friends at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00-8:00pm, and at other times at Tommy and Connie’s home.
