Rock Hill, South Carolina - Mr. Wayne Copeland, 69, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at his home.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Grandview Memorial Park - Cherry Road, with Pastors Barry Tucker and Paul Crosby officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Born in Chesterfield, SC, Mr. Copeland was the son of the late James Pierce Copeland and the late Lillie Morris Copeland. He was also preceded in death by three siblings. He was a US Navy veteran and was retired from Titan Building Products. He also worked for Wicks Lumber. He enjoyed sports and was a softball enthusiast. He coached his boys, played in many tournaments with church teams and won many MVP awards. He was a civil war buff and enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. He was a member of First Christian Church.
Surviving are his wife, Teresa Robertson Copeland; two sons, Justin Wayne (Courtney) Copeland and Jordan Donald (Lauren) Copeland, both of Rock Hill; his grandchildren, Jackson Copeland, Emma Grace Copeland, and Loraine Jeanette Copeland; two brothers, Gene Ray (Shirley) Copeland of Clover and Dennis (Catherine) Copeland of Lake Wylie; his sister, Wanda C. Davis of Fort Mill; his faithful companion, Noah; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Copeland's name to First Christian Church, 235 Community Street, Rock Hill, SC 29730 or any veterans group of your choice.
