Mr. Freddie Eugene McDaniel, 65, of Rock Hill, SC passed away on February 19, 2018. Freddie was born in Rock Hill, SC and was the son of the late Paul Lyle McDaniel and the late Willie Morgan McDaniel. Freddie was in the engineering field for many years with a specific focus on building and maintaining paper mills across the southeast of the US. He loved taking trips to the beach, spending time on his land, riding his motorcycle, and many rounds of golf in his younger days. Freddie was most proud of the achievements of his children who had accomplished great things- being a doctor, a nurse, a school administrator, and a major in the Army National Guard. In addition to his parents, Freddie was preceded in death by his wife, Sheila McDaniel. Freddie is survived by his children Tim McDaniel (Yvonne) and Stephanie McDaniel [from his previous wife Debbie Williams] Cassidy Valerino (Thomas) and Fred McDaniel [from his previous wife Denise McDaniel]; his brothers Doug McDaniel (Debbie), Lynn McDaniel (Donna), and sister Annette Callahan (Steve), his step-children, Jason Medlin, Ryan Medlin (Marie) and Amanda Medlin; and his grandchildren, Dalton McDaniel, Tyler Knight, Jayden McDaniel, Kadasia Coleman, Jamari Adams, Jaxson McDaniel, Tres McDaniel, Izzy Cunningham, Olivia Medlin, Alix Cunningham, Karamia Cunningham, and Giada Valerino; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home is arranging services for Mr. McDaniel. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday February 22, 2018 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home at 700 Heckle Boulevard, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday February 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials can be made in memory of Freddie McDaniel to the National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
