SHERYL M. WELLS, 63 ROCKFORD - Sheryl M. Wells, 63, of Rockford passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, in East Bank Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born Feb. 23, 1946, in Rockford, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Samson) Stanfel. A 1964 graduate of Auburn High School. Sheryl was a waitress at the Waffle Shop for 10 years, and prior to that worked at City Bank for 14 years. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening and was an incredible baker. Avid Cubs and Packers fan and she loved to spend time with her daughter, Cathy.

Survived by daughter, Cathy (Brian Siefert) Wells of Janesville; mother, Mary Stanfel of Rockford; sisters, Susan Gillette of Machesney Park, Roberta Schnorr of Rockford and Linda (Jim) Caciola of Arleta, Calif.; sister-in-law, Becky Stanfel of Morrison; and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father, Charles and brother, Richard Stanfel. Service at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
