Claire Gormley Link

Our '84 Sister, Claire Gormley, valiantly fought Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, for five years.  Claire became an angel on May 3rd.

Please visit this amazing site below to learn about our Inspirational Claire, and the Foundation in her honor.

CLASS OF '84 DONATIONS IN MEMORY OF CLAIRE GORMLEY:  Claire's family would like for us as a class to raise money for a needy student art student for supplies. The monies will not go to the Annual Fund, but will be specifically donated to the Art Department. We will be working with Rosemont to make sure that the fund is set up the way Claire and her family would want it to be set up.

Clare Verre writes: We did our senior show together in 84. Leaving it all to the last moment. Lots of laughs and late hours getting it on the walls in time! Since there have been fundraisers for her, I always donate a painting for her auctions and I will do so as long as they hold anything in her name. Like everything else, I graduated and moved along and never kept in touch. I bumped into Kathy Cooney and she told me about Claire when she became sick. I donated the painting to an auction and dinner they were holding for her. When she saw it and asked where it came from and her friend said a friend from college donated it. Her friend told me she got all red and choked up. So we reconnected that way...and once in a while e mailed and I saw her a few times. The last time I saw her was last year. Despite all that her body was going through, her face was still as
pretty as she always was.
