I remember Helene too. I remember she had a great smile and laugh, was best friends with Maggie Kaufman I think. It's sad to see how many of our classmates have passed on.
I will always remember the morning I received that phone call from her dad. He was devastated. He referred to Helaine as "HIS PEARL". I considered Helaine (and her family) one of my closest friends. The high school adventures during Sr. lunch breaks were the BEST!
