Classmate Melvin Harold Perry died in an accident on Saturday, November 14, 2015. If further information or an obituary is published, it will be added.  According to a friend's note on his FB page: "Our Memorial for Cutter Perry will be at American Legion Post 10 Kissimmee, it is where we had our last SFA Meeting. It will be November 28th @ 11:00."

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -

Orange County Fire Rescue officials say Melvin Perry, 64, of Kissimmee, was killed Saturday in a crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck at the intersection of Narcoosee Road and Lee Vista Boulevard.

Police say the pickup truck driven by Everard McKenzie, 50 of Kissimmee, was traveling northbound on Narcoosee Road when he turned left onto Lee Vista Boulevard in front of the motorcycle at 5:55 p.m. The motorcycle ran into the side of the truck, throwing Perry off.

Perry was taken to Florida Hospital East, where he was pronounced dead, police said. McKenzie was treated at the scene.

No more details are available at this time. Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.

64-year-old Kissimmee man was killed in a crash at Narcoossee Road and Lee Vista Boulevard Saturday evening, a Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.

The man, who was riding a 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, was identified Sunday as Melvin Perry.

A 50-year-old Kissimmee man in a Dodge pickup truck was turning left from a northbound lane of Narcoossee Road, Sgt. Kim Montes said.

He turned in front of the motorcyclist, who was going south on Narcoossee Road, Montes said.

The motorcyclist was thrown off his Harley, Montes said.

He was pronounced dead at Florida Hospital East Orlando.

The man in the pickup truck was not injured, Montes said.

Troopers will investigate what caused the crash.
