REBECCA “BECKY” LOUISE JONES, age 65, of 329 River Oaks Parkway, Timberlake, NC died Tuesday evening, March 22, 2016 at Duke Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Jones was born on January 26, 1951 in Person County, NC to the late Raymond Keith Rose & Clara Snead Guill Rose who survives and was wife of 16 years to James Willard “Jay” Jones, Jr. who also survives. Mrs. Jones was retired from Verizon Wireless and was a member of Grace/Ca-vel United Methodist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are two sons, Colon Ray "Coby" Bowen & wife, Lori of Timberlake, NC, Jennifer McCann & husband, Ryan of Virginia Beach, VA., Jay Jones, III "Jay Jay" & wife Tish of Chesapeake, VA, eight grandchildren, Dillon Harris, Lori Beth Harris, Chelsea McCann, Cheyenne McCann, R.J. McCann, Marena Jones, Madison Jones, and Mason Jones, and sister-in-law, Randy Nimmo of Virginia Beach, VA.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Keith “Sammy” Rose.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 at Grace/Ca-vel United Methodist Church by the Rev. Kent Miller and the Rev. Ross Thompson. Interment will follow in the Person Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 pm on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Strickland Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Pallbearers will be Ron Clayton, Ronnie Clayton, Frankie Day, Billy Gardner, Jackie Gentry and Gary Jones.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace/Ca-vel United Methodist Church Equipment Fund, 313 Church Street, Roxboro, NC 27573.
