Charles Franklin Watson, Jr., 71, of 485 Caswell Pines Clubhouse Drive, Blanch, NC 27212 went home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2022 at his residence after a brief battle with cancer.

Charles was born in Person County, NC on November 12, 1950, a son of the late Charles Franklin Watson, Sr. and Charlotte Robinson Watson. He lived most of his life in Caswell County and graduated from Person County High School in 1969. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Charles retired from Centurylink with 40 years of service as a Construction Supervisor. He was a former member of Caswell Pines Golf Course, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Woodsdale Hunting Club. Charles was an avid Tar Heel fan. He loved fishing, golfing and Nascar. Charles attended Yanceyville Presbyterian Church.

On November 17, 2007, Charles married Kayre E. Watson who survives of the residence. He is survived by one daughter, Allison Emerson (Scott) of Zuni, Virginia, two sons Chris C. Watson and Kyle G. Watson (Jennifer) of Yanceyville, NC, four grandchildren, Mary Kathryn Emerson, Hannah Emerson, Breanna Poole, Bobby Poole (Brittany), four great-grandchildren, Aubree Spicer, Caroline Spicer, Brynnleigh Poole and Bristyn Poole, one brother, Kent Watson (Jean) of Roxboro, NC. Charles is also survived by special best friends, Stuart and Linda Watlington of Yanceyville. He was predeceased by two sisters, Wanda Watson and Ginger Williams.

A memorial service for Charles will be conducted Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Yanceyville Presbyterian Church by the Reverend Jimmy Davis and Reverend Todd Harris. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the Social Hall and at other times they will be at the residence.
