Gail Wrenn Denny, 72, of Durham County, died on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Born in Person County, she was the daughter of the late William Wrenn and Shirley Landrum. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Steve Wrenn.

Gail enjoyed dancing and playing Bingo. She was an avid North Carolina Tar Heels fan. She loved her family, her friends and her dog, Rue. Gail retired from Duke University after 35 years of employment.

Surviving are her son, Jay Denny of Oxford; companion of 39 years, Mike Powell of Hillsborough; two sisters: Lisa Harris and Linda Jones; one grandson, William Denny; goddaughter, Kaylee Laws; and many other children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 2:30-4 PM Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Brooks & White Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
