From his daughter Tracy on Facebook: "It is with very heavy hearts that we say that daddy has met his Lord and Savior and his mama in Heaven. He put up one heck of a fight and we could not be more proud of him. If there is one thing that we are sure of though he is with the Lord. Life is definitely not going to be the same without him but he raised us and taught us well so with the help of God and all of our family and friends we are all going to be ok. Thank you all for the love and support shown to us over the past few weeks. Please keep us all in your prayers in the days and weeks to come. All our love."
