Mr. Bobby Booth Nelson, age 57, of 2075 Mountain Road, Roxboro, NC, departed this life Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in his home. He was a native of Person County. He is survived by one daughter, Mariah Nelson of Roxboro; his mother, Shirley P. Nelson of Roxboro; one brother, Leonidas Nelson, Jr. of Durham, NC; three sisters: Deborah Nelson of Greensboro, NC, Patricia Hunter of Albany, GA and Rita Winstead of Durham, NC; and a host of other additional relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at 11:00am at Cunningham and Nelson Funeral Home in Roxboro with the Rev. Benjamin Clay officiating and the Rev. Michael Nelson providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Nelson Family Cemetery, 2555 Allensville Road, Roxboro, NC 27574. There will be no public viewing of the body. The family will receive visitors on Friday one hour prior to the service.
