Carolyn Jean Royster
February 13, 1960 - February 23, 2019
Ms. Carolyn Jean Royster, age 59, of Roxboro, NC, departed this life in her residence Saturday, February 23, 2019. She was a native of Person County, attended 1st Baptist Church in Roxboro, and was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Otha Royster and Oveda Burton Royster and an aunt, Carrie Royster Daye.
She is survived by two children: Monica Royster of McLeansville, NC and Keith Royster (Denia) of Mebane, NC; two grandchildren: Keith “K.J.” Royster and Kaiden Royster; one brother, Tony Royster (Qunnaella) of Arcadia, CA; two nephews: Daniel Royster and Michael Royster, both of Arcadia, CA; a cousin who was like a little brother, Michael Mason (Stacey) of Charlotte, NC; and a host of other additional loving relatives and friends.
A Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church, 14 Main Circle, Roxboro, NC 27573 with the Rev. Kenneth Stokes, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Willie W. Johnson, pastor of Siloam Baptist Church, providing the eulogy. Visitation and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s Ceremony & Rites will also be at the church during the one hour prior to the eulogistic services.
The family will receive friends at the home of her son, 804 Blue Lake Drive, Mebane, NC 27302.
