GLADYS SUE LOFTIS DAY, age 63, of 508 Ivey Day Road, Roxboro, NC passed away peacefully Tuesday night, April 2, 2024 at Duke Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Day was born May 26, 1960 in Person County, NC, daughter of the late James Edwards Loftis & Betty Alice Loraine Ford Loftis who survives and was wife of 40 years to Willie Thomas Day who also survives.  She was formerly employed with Wal Mart and was also a care giver and was of the Baptist faith.

Gladys enjoyed flowers, shopping, music, dancing, watching old westerns, and anything that had to do with her grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to her mother and husband are two daughters, Blair Nicole Day, Melissa Day Wilson & husband, Trent, three grandchildren, Meliha Lynn Case, Klay Thomas Pore, Gracelyn Paige Wilson, siblings, Virginia L. Hodges & husband, Ronnie, Betty Lou Bennett & husband, David, and Carl “BoBo” Edwards Loftis & wife, Shelia.

In addition to her father, Mrs. Day is preceded in death by a brother, Larry James Loftis.

Celebration of Life services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024 in the Strickland and Jones Funeral Services Chapel with the Rev. John Pritchard officiating.
