Bernard Monroe Clay, born April 28, 1959 in Person County to the late George O. and Nellie Florence Clay, departed this life and entered into eternal rest Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Erie, PA following a lengthy illness. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four siblings: George Leon Clay, Luther Earl Clay, Barbara Clay Lawson and Roderick Clay. He leaves to cherish his memory his children; six siblings: Bobbie Thomas (Thelma) of Baltimore, MD, Shirley Clay Brooks of Roxboro, NC, Harold Clay of Sumter, SC, Valerita C. Lee (Linwood) of High Point, NC, Rose Clay Watlington of Burlington, NC and his twin, Dernard Clay (Cornelia) of Columbia, SC; an uncle, Kent Whitmore of Burlington, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.
