Bridget Louise Hughes August 29, 1959 - September 1, 2020 Share this obituary Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share in Email Sign Guestbook| View Guestbook Entries| Send Sympathy Card Ms. Bridget Louise Hughes, age 61 of Roxboro, NC, departed this life Tuesday, September 1, 2020 in her residence. She was a native of Person County and a member of St. James Baptist Church in Leasburg. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Woods. She is survived by two daughters: Tatayana Hughes and April Short, both of the home; her mother, Bessie Mae Woods of Roxboro, NC; four grandchildren: Amarre French, Ava Burris, Judah French and King Wilson; two sisters: Rosetta Paylor (Greg) and Judy Moore, both of Roxboro; three brothers: Ernest Woods (Faye) of Semora, NC, Steve Woods (Margaret) and Alfred Woods, both of Roxboro; eight aunts and one uncle; and a host of other additional relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 2:00pm at St. James Baptist Church, 1065 Solomon Lea Road, Leasburg, NC 27291 with the Rev. Haywood Smith, Pastor, officiating and providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A walk-through Visitation will also be Saturday at the church from 1:00pm to 2:00pm when her body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Attendance at the service is limited to fifty individuals and guests will be pre-determined by the family. Masks are required. At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 495 Lester Burch Road, Roxboro, NC 27574.
