Judy Hoggan

Judy Ann Hoggan was called home by our loving Heavenly Father on Friday January 20, 2017. She was born December 26, 1954 to Ted Dwayne Briggs and Barbara Ann Briggs (Zinie) in Ogden UT. She spent her childhood years in Hooper, UT gaining many lifelong friends. She participated in 4H, church activities and learned to play the piano.

She graduated from Roy High, in Roy UT She met the love of her life Michael Ellis Hoggan in high school. They were married for time and all eternity, March 15, 1974 in the Salt Lake City, UT Temple. They were married 42 years.

She was a wonderful wife, loving, kind and devoted always to her role. They were the proud parents of two children. Zachary Ellis Hoggan (Lisa) Wellington, CO and Amanda Elizabeth Wild (Douglas) Billings, MT. And the Grandparents to 8 delightful grandchildren. Jarod (14), Morgan (11), Alexander (8), Makenzie (5), Adelaide (8), James (6), Audryn (3), and Joseph (3 months). Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers Dale and Don and several aunts, uncles and loved ones.

She was the best Mother and Grandmother. Spending the majority of her time and talents blessing their lives in every way she possibly could. She loved to teach them and share her love of music with them. She was an example of unconditional love and devotion in all she did. She was very talented and had a gift for picking skills up quickly. She loved to sew, quilt, crochet, cross stich and do paper crafts. She also enjoyed doing family history and learning about her loved ones. She enjoyed creating things especially playing with Lego’s.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in many callings throughout her life always giving with all her heart. She truly lived her beliefs in all aspects of her life. She was always serving others. Over the last four years she was battling a rare form of colon cancer. She faced her challenges and trials with faith and grace. She was fearless in her battle and courageously fought the unknown. She participated in research to further the cause in helping to find a cure. Judy was survived by her husband, two younger sisters and a younger brother, her two children and 8 grandchildren. Her family loved her dearly. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Billings, MT LDS Stake Center 2929 Belvedere Drive Billings, MT 59102. Friends and family may visit Wednesday January 25, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm at Smith Funeral Chapel West. 304 34th St. West. Billings, MT 59102 and from 9:00am to 9:30am on Thursday prior to the services. Condolences may be shared with the family at smithfuneralchapels.com.
