Virginia Stephens Day (1936-2023)

Virginia (Stephens) Day, of Spokane, WA, passed away on December 10th, 2023, after a short illness.  She was born in red Oak, Iowa to the late Ken and Irene (Retzlaff) Stephens and raised in Rupert, idaho.

Virginia graduated from Rupert High School with the class of 1954. She was happily married for 58 years to her late husband, Tom Day. They enjoyed camping and fishing as well as keeping a home filled with laughter. Quilting and sewing were a few of Virginia's favorite hobbies. She made beautiful quilts for her children and grandchildren.  Always interested in fashion, she worked many years at the Bon Marche in downtown Spokane.  She was a keen Gonzaga Men's Basketball fan and looked forward to each game and season.

Virginia is survived by sons Dennis and his wife Barb; David; brother Ken and his wife Sally; grandchildren Griffen and his wife Loren; Cameron and his wife, Nikky; Miranda; and great-grandson Dino.

Virginia will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  She will always be remembered for her smile and her generous heart.
