Patty Pollard (Osborne)

Patsy Lou (Pollard) Osborne age 79,   passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2015 in Meridian, Idaho surrounded by family.

Patsy was born October 13th, 1936 in Rupert, idaho, the daughter of Robert Elliott Stockton and Martha Maggie Pollard. She grew up on a family farm in Rupert with 7 siblings.  Some of her most treasured memories were working on the farm together with her family.  Patsy had fond memories of the family farm where they enjoyed growing a garden, raising animals and canning produce every year.  She often noted that there were rarely any disagreements among the family and that they worked togather happily and got along well.

Patsy married Ulsa Voy Osborne on July 28th, 1953 and had 4 children.

Patsy was a determined and dedicated mother. She worked many jobs and long hours to take care of her children and provide a wonderful future for them after being widowed at a young age.

Patsy was a resolute person and hard worker and put herself through nursing school as a young mother.  Patsy had a natural gift of healing and nursing.  She gave of herself thoughout her life nursing those who were sick including grandparents, neighbors and her husband as well as in her professional career as a nurse.  Patsy often looked over and took care of those who were chronically ill or needed long-term care.  She also enjoyed serving those around her and loved making pies and meals to take to those who were sick or needed help. She was able  to serve in her calling as a LDS Relief society president as well as volunteering for organizations such as Meals on Wheels.

Patsy was preceded in deathy by her husband, Ulsa Voy Osborne and son, Steven Voy Osborne, grandaughters, Twanya and Tara Oborne.  She is survived by her daughter Glenda Ray Oborne, son Ronald Lee Osborne,son Brian Dale Osborne, her 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A private, family graveside service will be held Thursday, December 10, 2015.   Services are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
