Rebecca ‘Becky’ George
Rebecca “Becky” Anderson George, 46, of Dover, died Sunday, July 10, 2011, at her brother’s home.
She was born Jan. 24, 1965, at Fort Worth, Texas, to Leonard Anderson Jr. and Syble Francis Snoddy Anderson. She was a former substitute teacher for the Dover School System, and was known as “Aunt Becky” to all of her extended family and students.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mia and Dustin White of Atkins; Mia’s father, Billy George and his wife, Shauna; her mother, Syble Anderson of Russellville; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Joseph Lynn and Daisy Anderson of Dover, and Timothy Darrell Anderson of Russellville; a sister, Nina Gail Anderson of Heber Springs; a grandson, Gabriel Lewis White; nine nephews and nieces, Kara Armond and her husband, Phillip, Chelsey Carnahan and her husband, Sean, Matthew J. Anderson, Wesley Anderson, Bridgette Anderson, Victoria Anderson, Cassie Allred, Kyle Standridge and Michael Standridge; and three grand-nephews and grand-nieces, Arabella Armond, Colin Armond and Xavier Allred.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at the Shinn Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Phillip C. Collie II and the Rev. Roger Pearce. Burial will be in the Robertsville Cemetery near Jerusalem, by Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Active pallbearers will be Wesley and Matthew Anderson, Sean Carnahan, Kyle and Michael Standridge, J.R. Hale, Tyler Beck and Justin Anderson. Honorary pallbearer will be Phillip Armond.
