Brad Talbert

I'm living in Orem Utah. I have five children ranging from 19 to 10. I teach high school physics and math at Pleasant Grove HS about five miles from my house. My wife and I have been married since 1988.

After HS, I left Russellville for what turned out to be for good. I attended a small college in Idaho for one semester (my older brothers had all gone to the same college; it seemed like the thing to do). Then I served a 2-yr Spanish-speaking mission for the LDS (mormon) church in Los Angeles.

I attended Brigham Young University, obtaining a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1991. I worked for a year in the oilfield industry as a field engineer before returning to school at Southern Utah University for a BS in Math with a Physics minor and teaching credentials. I have taught Physics at Pleasant Grove HS in Utah for the last 15 years. I am very happy there. I recently completed a MS in Instructional Psychology & Assessment.

I have a lovely wife and a great family. We have the same challenges as most families, but are generally a happy bunch who enjoy each other's company.

I remember going into the chemistry labroom to play poker with matchsticks with Keith Coker, Mike Wellman, and Kevin Eggleston. Somebody had brought about 5000 matches and we kept them in the lab drawers. Not the best use of time, perhaps.
