Roger Waldo, Jr.

Roger Warren Waldo, Jr., 37, a resident of Dover, died Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 1, 1972 at Russellville to Roger Warren and Shirley Jean Lackey Waldo. He was a Christian and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and hunting and fishing with his grandfather and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Kaitlyn Jean and Karah Nicole Waldo, both of Dover, and their mother, Milissa Waldo; his parents, Roger and Shirley Waldo of Dover; his paternal grandparents, Warren and Janice Waldo of Dover, and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 19, 2010, at the Shinn Chapel with the Rev. Herb Tilley and the Rev. Phillip C. Collie II, officiating. Burial will be in McFadden Cemetery at Dover under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be David McEntire, Steve Edwards, Shane Maggie, Dale Coster, Jack Lewallen and Steven Clayton.

Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

it is so hard to grief the loss of a classmate some one weve known our whole lifes and then one day their gone.we have had so many in our class who have gone to be with our father we are sad because we want them here with us to continue our life long friendship that we have made with them since kindergarten.roger was a joy to be around he was shy but at the same time very sweet person him and kevin and david mcentire were always picking on one another and poor roger would get picked on by david and kevin they knew how to embarace him in front of others but through it all he was a good sport about it i think i only seen him get mad one time but it didnt take long for him to get over it and smile and laugh about it along with the rest of us roger always knew the right thing to say to someone when you were upset he always gave me comforting words to make me smile and of course i will never forget all the times that they would pick on me and throw paper wads at me in class or write on my hand or desk or whatever they could find to write funny little remarks and give them to me lol roger will be missed with his shyness and and comforting words may god ikeep him close and watch over his family and keep them safe.may god bless the families and friends of those we have lost.
