Leslie Robinson (Wilson)

Leslie Robinson Wilson(1957 - 2016)

Leslie was born on January 24, 1957, in Manchester, Connecticut, and passed away at her home in Walnut Grove on March 15, 2016. She was the middle child of Priscilla and Les Robinson and was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Leslie will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, daughter-in-law and sister-in-law. Leslie is survived by her husband Chiles and children Paul, Elizabeth Davison (Nick), Chiles Jr. and Alex, sister Kathie Brekke (Tim), brother David Robinson, nieces Meghan, Caroline and Noel, nephews Kyle, Isaac and Patrick, brothers-in-law Daniel Wilson (Mary) and Dr. Darrell Wilson (Barbara), mother-in-law Dixie Wilson and many dear friends in the Delta. At a young age Leslie moved from Connecticut with her family to California and grew up in Sacramento. Childhood was a simple one, playing with her siblings and neighborhood friends. Riding her green 10-speed bike, babysitting, roller skating and gymnastics were a few of her favorite activities. She graduated from Kennedy High School followed by Cosumnes River College. Leslie then began her career at The Bank of Alex Brown in Walnut Grove which became her new home town. Later she changed vocations when she took the position of Office Manager at Kay Dix Ranch Company. In 2001 Leslie and Chiles were married in Hong Kong and soon began their life and a home together at Pasatiempo Ranch. She was a loving mother to Paul, Liz, Chiles Jr. and Alex and helped nurture them to become the wonderful people they are today. Living at the Ranch, Leslie and her beloved "Duke" spent many happy hours in her prolific vegetable and flower gardens. She delighted in cooking different cuisines and sharing this gift with family, friends and neighbors. Traveling both near and far was also a passion. Over the years there were many trips that included 25 countries around the world. A second home in her favorite city, San Francisco, became a place to spend time and enjoy concerts, art, the symphony and culinary exploration. The essence of Leslie was generosity and kindness. Whether someone needed her time, talent or funds she was always willing to give from the heart. She wanted the very best for everyone she knew and loved. Leslie will always be dearly loved and greatly missed by all who knew her but we will take her memory along on our journeys. The family wishes to thank all those who helped Leslie in her final days with their care and compassion. It will not be forgotten. For the date, time and location of Leslie's Service, please go to: www.lesliewilsoncelebration.com The family would be honored if anyone wishes to make a donation in Leslie's name to Walnut Grove Community Presbyterian Church, Church Restoration Fund, P.O.
