Duke Wong

April 8, 1957 - April 9, 2010

Duke Wong, age 53, beloved husband, father, brother and friend passed away too soon due to cancer. Duke was a Sacramento native who attended Kennedy High School (class of 1975). He graduated from UC Davis as a mechanical engineer and went on to a 30-year career at Aerojet, where he was nationally recognized as a true "rocket scientist". He leaves behind his wife, Cindy Castronovo, and his sons, Ryan and Jonathan, who were his pride and joy. Also survived by three younger brothers Gene, Young and Hank. Duke was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed coaching his sons' soccer teams. He loved the outdoors, from his many camping trips with friends and family, to his quiet summer evenings in the backyard. Duke was a "collector" of almost everything, but his latest passion for fine wines was shared and appreciated by all who knew him. He was accepting of everyone he met over his lifetime and loved by so many. The family invites all to a celebration of Duke's life to be held on Friday, April 16 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony Parish, 660 Florin Road, Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society .
