Reading this brief accounting of his life brought chills to my spine......our lives took very similar paths... although we only dated for a yearish, i still remember him fondly and was shocked to see him listed here.

Vick was my neighbor for many years growing up in South Sac. I remember him all the way back to elementory school. We often walked from the bus together and talked. I last saw him at the 10 year reunion. I think he was wearing all white if I remember correctly.  It's a nice image to remember him by.

Sorry to hear about this now...

I had known Vick from the John H Still JHS days.  I remember him as being friendly and kind, a jokester, and in spite of being an only child, unselfish.  (I think sparring with his traditional Japanese mom using kendo sticks as discipline helped?)

During the early teen years, I remember he would invite us over to swim in his Doughboy pool many times and had us over for a couple of sleep overs where he would use Whip(shaving?) Cream on us.  His mom would provide us with good eats.  We (Vick, Dwayne Sako, Wilbert Lee, Paul Hironaka, David Tissue, I, and...) would play flag football a lot and have water balloon fights in the summer.

We lost touch after high school and would see him and every now and then until about 10 years ago.
