Dennis struggled throughout his life with mental illness. In talking with him, he described mental illness like being locked inside of a glass casket...while he could clearly see what normal looked like, he could never get there. For Dennis, it was hard enough to deal with having a mental illness, but the addition of diabetes proved to be too much for him to overcome. Dennis is now at peace with his maker. |

I am very sadened to hear of Dennis' struggles and of his passing. One time in the 8th grade Dennis called my house and my father answered the phone, he told Dennis that I couldn't come to the phone for about another year and a half, because I was not allowed to speak to boys on the telephone until I went to High school! Dennis , had a very sweet, soft spoken nature. At least now his spirit can be free of the torture he experienced in his very brief lifetime.
